MULBERRY

During the Easter break I have been interning at Mulberry. I started in February for London Fashion Week which was a great experience of hard work, although it was a shame that Mulberry didn't have a show at Somerset House, but the Claridges dinner did work well in their favour.

Firstly the office was amazing; such a nice environment. Whilst working there, I was so involved I really felt like a part of the team.

I had a lot of responsibilities throughout the day, starting in the morning by looking through press for coverage or mentions, but also any news on the fashion role, which was then reported back into the morning meeting, the coverage is then scanned throughout the day and sent to everyone in the company as 'latest press'.

I was working closely with social media, so I was active on all their platforms. Also, I had to find new and upcoming UK bloggers that would be appropriate for Mulberry , which was great for me as I love looking up new blogs, I then had to research a bit about the blogger, their viewers and their circulation rating. I had all the bloggers in a database which I had to present in the meetings, which was really helpful in getting me in the habit of presenting professionally.

During my time at Mulberry there was a press day, it was really good greeting press at the door and being able to put a face to a name and start building relationships with them.

After being at Mulberry for three months I was lucky enough to see what happens daily within the press calendar, I was especially lucky to attend the preview meeting for the new collection, and it was really interesting to hear where they got all their inspiration from and how that turned into a collection.

I feel like now that I've worked at Mulberry I have had an insight into the luxury market which is where I want to go, so I feel like I've definitely crossed a new path in order to get to the level I want to go when I graduate.
